What is the best places to visit and best things to do in Selangor? If you are planning to have a wonderful trip in Selangor (the most populous state in Malaysia) there is many recommended places to visit, many things you should do and many local yummy foods you must try! Some attractions may not that famous but it is really great!
The geographical location of Selangor is quite special because it is surrounding the capital of Malaysia.
1. Farm in the City 城の农场 — Seri Kembangan
A place you may have interaction with plants, animals and wildlife. It is a new concept of nature environment park which is located center of the Selangor city. There have free-flight bird aviary, reptiles cavern, Koi fish, giant tortoise, moods lake, pet village, longkang fishing, jungle walk, vegetable farm, various type of local fruit trees, etc. Visit official website for more information.
2. i-City Themepark — Shah Alam
It is a famous ICT-based huge themepark and also a listed TOP 25 world brightest and most colourful attraction on CNN news. There have beautiful LED lights trees at night, Waterworld, Snowalk Winter House, Red Carpet Celebrities Wax Museum, Itsy Bitsy Themepark (Kids), Bumper Car, Pirate Ship, Giant Ferris Wheel, House of Horror, Trick Art Museum, Wow Street, 5D Cinema, etc.
3. Sunway Lagoon — Bandar Sunway

5. Batu Cave — Gombak
It is a very impressive Selangor attraction you must visit. There have a long staircase up to 272 steps let visitors to walk into the temple that built within a massive limestone, A 140 feets Hindu Deity Lord Murugan golden statue stand in front of the cave. Oh ya you may have a good interaction with elephants too!
6. Laman Seni 7 — Shah Alam
A beautiful Selangor street art zone which is just located beside i-City themepark! This place is full with wall painting art, 3D painting, on-site painting, creative street furniture, illusion floor painting, etc. You can take as much as pretty and funny photos in this place. Watch & feel their drawing and creativity you may have some inspiration for your life.
7. Nightly Fireflies — Kuala Selangor
Kuala Selangor is one of the rare place in the World where visitors can watch thousands of fireflies flashing in front of them. Accommodation is available for visitors to stay after the fireflies tour. You will traveling along the river by boat to enjoy this natural phenomenon. There is 3 popular tour choices: Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park, Kampung Bukit Belimbing Firefly Park Resort and Pasir Penambang.
8. Sekinchan
A small hidden town located at west-coast Selangor Malaysia far away from the crowded Selangor city. Generally people visit the paddy processing factory because Sekinchan is a place full with paddy fields, very beautiful! After that you may go for giant mangoes (Mango King), kite flying, cycling, eat seafood and more.
9. Bangi Wonderland Theme Park & Resort — Kajang
